Incompetent or worse?

Let's back up a little.  As we've been discussing, the Hennepin County Attorney's office has, at least until recently, been engaged in a wilfull and deliberate violation of Minnesota Statute 624.714, Subd. 23.  (Short form:  the statute prohibits governmental entities from attempting to restrict lawful carry of firearms by permit holders; the HC Attorney's office has been doing just that, by instructing the Hennepin County Library in Edina to put up and enforce unlawful signs in violation of 624.714 Subd 23.  When the Edina PD, at the library's request, recently rousted a permit holder, the permit holder got himself a good lawyer; the Edina PD, the Hennepin County Library, and the Hennepin County Attorney's office backed down at something approaching lightspeed.)

The Hennepin County Attorney, Amy Klobuchar, is now engaged in a campaign for higher office.  (She's running for US Senate.)

Question 1:  did this violation of  Minn. Stat. 624.714 Sub. 23 by the Hennepin County Attorney's office happen with the blessing or the ignorance of Amy Klobuchar, the Hennepin County Attorney?

Question 2:  have any of the local newspapers or TV news departments shown any interest in the subject of a County Attorney, seeking higher office, whose office has deliberately violated Minnesota State law?

As far as I can tell, the answer to question 1 is "I dunno", and to question 2, "Nope.  Not a one."
