Unclear on the concept

Well, we had Million Mom March organizer, spokeswoman and activist Barbara Graham gunning down a man in an attempt to avenge the murder of her son (she shot the wrong guy, and crippled him).  And then we had antigun activist Annette "Flirty" Stevens keeping an unlicensed handgun, with the serial filed off, in her home -- along with some narcotics. 

And now we've got antigun activist Sheila Eccleston calling the police about a burglary next door, and encouraging them to make it quick because she had a sawed-off shotgun in her home, one that she admits had been there for six months. 

I think some of these folks are unclear on a lot of concepts.

I don't think they're unclear on the concept at all. They're all about how rules are for "other people", so of course it's okay for them and their bodyguards to have guns. Not us, though. We don't need guns. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

Yeah, Wombat hit it on the head. They're following in the tradition of Southern Democrats from the Civil War through the Civil Rights movement. Guns for us, but not for them.

Sad really...

Most of the late 1800 / early 1900 anti-firearm law was passed to keep minorities, poor and immigrants under the thumb of the local PTB. This happened all over the US, not just the Post War South. Heck it's still used today, what is a Saturday Night Special but a code to keep Blacks from handguns? As the Bob said "You can't enslave a free man all you can do is kill him".

No, they are clear on the concept

Gun-control lobbyists know that every shooting increases support for gun control. So logically they should stockpile guns and then look for excuses to shoot people. They can defeat the NRA by selling their souls to the devil.

A more subtle approach is to encourage illegal drug abuse, like Ben Gelt did, and then exploit drug-related shootings. http://www.tincher.to/gelt.htm

Your readers may also be interested in Archbishop Rembert G. Weakland, who pushed for gun control and also harbored child-molesting priest Rev. William Effinger. If gun-control lobbyists really cared about children then they wouldn't protect child molesters, would they?
